AHMED MUHANNA
Visual artist Ahmed Muhanna lives and works in Gaza, creating his own artwork while also leading creative sessions with children as a form of psychological and emotional support.
Born in 1984 in Deir Al-Balah, Gaza, Ahmed earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Al-Aqsa University. He began his artistic journey early in life and has taken part in a wide range of training programmes in drawing, painting, and animation — including a residency at Eltiqa for Contemporary Art in 2021. His work has also included public mural projects across Gaza.
In Ahmed’s words:
“Here in Gaza, I work with children scarred by war, genocide, loss, fear, and trauma, helping them find a voice and a way to heal through creative expression. But to continue this essential work, I urgently need your support.
Your donations will help me provide the art materials and supplies necessary to bring hope, relief, and moments of joy to children who have suffered far too much.”
All profits will go toward providing the children Ahmed teaches, with art and drawing supplies. You can donate to his fundraising page here.
