Where does the money go?
We set up Revolting Threads with a simple aim:
To raise funds and awareness for Palestinians through art and clothing.
We are a not-for-profit collective — we don’t make any money from this project.
Revolting Threads is a UK-registered not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC).
Profits from PALESTINIAN Artists’ DESIGNS
When you buy T-shirts and other pieces featuring work by Palestinian artists living in Gaza, 100% of the profits will be shared equally between them.
We felt this was the fairest way to distribute the profits, because some artists might have more followers or visibility than others, and they may therefore sell more work - but we feel all of our artists’ designs and input are equally valuable.
These artists are living under siege and facing unimaginable conditions.
This is one small way we can support their survival, creativity, and agency.
We work directly with each artist (or their family, where needed) to make sure funds are sent as quickly and safely as possible.
Profits from our own designs and artists outside OF Gaza
30% of all profits will be shared equally between the Gazan artists we are working with.
The remaining 70% of all profits raised by the sale of these designs will be donated to trusted charities and organisations providing emergency aid and long-term support in Gaza:
UK Registered Charities:
International NGOs:
We intend to review and select one or more of these organisations each month to receive donations, as this approach allows us to respond to urgent humanitarian needs and maximise impact.
We will maintain full transparency by publishing recipient details regularly on our website. If you have questions, please get in touch.
