KHOLOUD AMMAD

Kholoud is a Palestinian artist from Gaza whose bold, detailed ink drawings capture both the daily struggles and the enduring spirit of her people.

Growing up in Gaza, Kholoud has used art as a way to process her experiences and resist the violence and restrictions imposed on her community. Through striking black-and-white ink work, she documents the small moments of life under siege — a mother carrying her child, a fisherman casting his net, rooftops and crowded streets — turning ordinary scenes into powerful statements of survival and resilience.

Kholoud describes her art as a language when words fail. In her own words:

"It’s not just a drawing; it’s a voice. It’s a scream. It’s a way to show the world what is happening here."

Her work is deeply tied to her love for Gaza and her commitment to sharing its reality with the world, no matter how painful. Each line she draws is an act of resistance and an affirmation of life, memory, and connection.

100% of the profits from the sales of Kholoud’s designs through Revolting Threads will be shared equally between her and the other Palestinian artists living in Gaza - - for more information please see our Charity page - and you can donate to her fundraising page here.
