I’m Reem, an artist from Gaza I paint to survive. In the face of war and destruction, my brush became my only refuge. Whenever the world closes in, I turn to paper and colors expressing what my heart can no longer carry in silence.

Each of my paintings holds the pain of my homeland, and a longing for a peace we’ve never truly known. I didn’t choose pain but I chose to resist it through art.

In my world, stories are born from lines and colors, and told in a silence deeper than words.

I live on a small hope and every day, I hold on to it as if it were life itself.
