Julz is a Palestinian American artist based in Vancouver, BC. Inspired by her grandmother’s embroidery journals, she transforms tatreez patterns into bold, modern prints, building each piece brick by brick with LEGO blocks. Inking and printing her art using a block printing technique. Works like Seeds (Bizr) and Sugar on a Plate tell stories of memory, movement, and the meaning of home. In solidarity, Julz creates political posters that carry messages of resilience, hope, and quiet defiance. Small acts of beauty that speak loudly. Some are hand-carved from linoleum blocks, a different medium but the same heartfelt process. Many of her political posters are offered as free downloads, reflecting her commitment to spread the message.
